Welcome to Community Alcohol Partnerships

We’re inviting nominations for the annual CAP Awards, to be announced in June 2022.

The awards recognise exceptional achievements in tackling underage drinking during 2021/22 and are open to individuals, organisations or your local CAP itself.

We want to highlight the invaluable work undertaken by partners to reduce alcohol harm among young people, improve their health and wellbeing and enhance their communities.

If Covid restrictions allow, we plan to hold the awards ceremony at Westminster in June. In addition to their award, winners will each receive £250 towards a CAP project of their choice.

Please download and complete the nomination form, outlining how the organisation or person has proved their excellence and (where relevant) innovation, commitment and dedication. This can include work that is ongoing.

You can use either the Word or pdf versions, typed or hand-written. Please continue on an extra page if necessary.  A CAP Awards Committee will decide the winners.

If you’d like some inspiration, take a look at last year’s winners’ stories in the March 2021 section of our news pages.

Please send your completed nominations by Friday April 15, 2022, to Gillian Walters, Head of Business, Operations and Events: [email protected]

As Chief Executive of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute it is great to see the growth of Community Alcohol Partnerships. They are an amazing way to bring businesses, regulators and communities together to deliver lasting solutions to the issues that underage drinking has on communities and young people. One of my proudest achievements in trading standards was the establishment of the first ever Community Alcohol Partnership and I know colleagues up and down the country are equally proud of the benefits that their local schemes are bringing.
