Kate took up the post of Director of CAP in 2014.
She has over 25 years’ experience working within senior management roles on alcohol harm reduction projects in the UK. Previous roles include Head of Policy and Information at The Portman Group, Director of Campaigns at Drinkaware and Director of the Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS).
Kate has a degree in modern languages and a postgraduate diploma in marketing.

Audrey Eager is a native of Dublin, a campaigner and a veteran of British, Irish and European politics having previously worked for the Liberal Democrats in Westminster and Brussels, and Fianna Fáil in Dublin. She has worked on many elections and referenda gaining a wide range of experience in media relations, campaigning and operations.
Before joining CAP, Audrey returned to education to complete a MA in in Media, Campaigning and Social Change from the University of Westminster.
Her focus has always been to try and affect positive change in society no matter how small and is delighted to be part of the CAP team at this exciting time in its growth.

Gillian joined CAP in 2014 following a nine year background in Trading Standards; she has a Degree in Social Policy and a Diploma in Consumer Affairs and Trading Standards.
During her time at Trading Standards, Gillian was the joint lead officer for age restricted sales and coordinated a number of successful CAPs in Kent. Gillian was previously the CAP Programme Manager and Adviser for the South East of England.

Sam joined CAP in 2022. She has over 20 years’ experience in communications, marketing and social media, specialising in the not-for-profit sector.
Sam has worked with a wide range of charities and not for profits to increase their profile, influence and the impact of their communications. She has worked on many high-profile campaigns, including campaigns highlighting the impact of hygiene poverty and the issues facing young carers.
Sam is also an accredited coach with the Institute of Leadership.

Deborah joins CAP in 2024 and has over 12 years’ experience as a partnership crime analyst within Local Government with a degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice.
She has experience in producing strategic and tactical partnership analysis highlighting key areas, identifying emerging themes and producing a range of interventions to help inform, direct and assist decision making to reduce the risk of harm. She has experience of working closely in partnership to achieve a shared goal/s and the benefits that this can bring to local communities.
She is passionate about making a difference, however small, and is excited to join the CAP team.

Annie has a background in education and has worked in national and international charities that support young people and adults facing multiple disadvantages to fulfill their potential.
Annie is passionate about including marginalised voices in her project design and delivery, she also has nearly ten years experience of partnership management.

Tam has worked in Community Education for over 25 years within a variety of community settings and situations. He builds links with indigenous cultures around the world and develop links together, as a Personal Life Coach, he engages with young people to help them be all they can be.
Tam is passionate about presenting people with opportunities to overcome aspirational marginalisation, and to work to create an environment in which our young people can flourish. He is also a writer and musician and enjoys keeping fit and spending time with family.

Grahame joined CAP in November 2020 as part of our strategy of rapid growth in Scotland.
He is a retired senior police officer, having served in Strathclyde Police and Police Scotland. During a varied police career, he performed roles within the Criminal Investigation Department, Public Protection and Safer Communities. More recently, Grahame was the strategic lead for the Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements in Ayrshire and has also worked in the cyber and financial crime sectors delivering training.

Fran has over 25 years experience working in senior leadership roles in secondary schools and the not-for-profit education sector. She joined the CAP team in 2024.
In her previous role as Head of Education at STEM, she launched many high impact partnerships within the Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Computing sectors, improving the outcomes of disadvantaged, under achieving and under- represented young people across the UK.
Her passion lies in making a positive impact to young people's lives and she has a keen interest in supporting young people with SEND and mental health issues. Fran is also an experienced mentor for aspiring senior leaders in schools and colleges in the UK and internationally.

Matthew has over 12 years of local government experience and joined the CAP Team in 2017. He played a pivotal role in launching Reading CAP, the UK's largest single CAP at the time, demonstrating his commitment to elevating alcohol retail standards in the borough. Matthew's efforts earned him two CAP Awards and a favourable independent evaluation.
Additionally, Matthew is a certified trainer, initially registering the training centre and delivering the RSPH Young Health Champions Qualification within the Reading CAP, he is now supporting its delivery across the South East and Wales.

Nic has over 20 years of experience in strategic communications, community engagement, and creative production focusing on influencing positive change.
She has designed and delivered projects across the public, private and third sectors for organisations such as the RNLI, Fire Fighters Charity, Atom Bank, Northumbria PCC, Mind, Rape Crisis, Newcastle Homeless Commission, Mozilla Foundation, Privacy International, Dogs Trust, and local authorities across the UK, including North Tyneside, Gateshead, and Newcastle. Along side her role as CAP Advisor, Nic leads creative engagement and stakeholder management for the art production practice Sum Place to co-create public art installations.
Nic returned to education to complete an MA in Public Relations and Media from Newcastle University. She is a Clore Social Leadership Fellow.

Alan joined the CAP team in 2012 following his retirement from South Yorkshire Police.
During his policing career, he achieved the rank of Acting Chief Inspector and served in numerous local, national and international roles. He has experience of writing policies and procedures and has built up a great deal of experience in combating community issues through partnership working.
Before joining CAP, he co-ordinated his own ‘CAPs’ across Barnsley, subsequently winning the prestigious County Partnership Award. Upon his retirement, he was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement in Policing Award. From 2012 to the present day, Alan has created CAPs covering over 130 areas across England and Scotland.
