Innovation and creativity have always been at the heart of what our CAP partnerships deliver. CAPs often need to think creatively in order to capture the imagination of children and young people and teach them that an alcohol-free childhood is best.

We believe that engaging children and young people in a meaningful way with enjoyable activities, and in the company of a positive peer group, is key to addressing underage drinking and anti-social behaviour.

This new innovation fund will allow CAPs to apply for funding for projects that have creativity at their heart and communicate our core message that an alcohol-free childhood is always best.

‍

We are delighted to be able to launch the CAP Innovation Fund to really enhance the work of active CAPs on the ground in their local communities and we invite our active CAPs to apply.

What exactly is the CAP Innovation Fund?

The CAP Innovation Fund is a fund designed to support innovative project ideas with the aim of reducing alcohol harm in children and young people, by improving their health and wellbeing, and enhancing their local communities.

In order to apply, your CAP must be already launched, and you can apply up to a maximum of £5,000.

‍

We are looking for projects that are innovative, that will engage young people and benefit others. So, think outside the box. What have you not done before but have always wanted to?

‍

We are looking for the ‘wow’ factor and something that will tell a good story. Think about what positive impact your project idea may have within your local community. Consider how your project idea will make the biggest impact with the funding available. Maybe your idea is equipment or materials, training, resources, or expert help you might need.
